This was a really exciting adventure book that captures the imagination. It is fast moving and one of those books you don’t want to put down. I think it should be a trilogy and I’m excited for the next 2 books! I think any teenager would like this. By: Mireya (age 15). Rating: 4/5.
A page-turning fantasy which follows a servant, Kurara, who was born with an ancient, forbidden magic where, with a few folds, she can turn paper origami to life. However, her whole world is turned upside down when her skyship crashes and her only friend is not who she thinks he is. ‘Rebel Skies’ is about a girl called Kurara and her magical ability to control paper. The empire of Mikoshima is in deep trouble as a civil war is brewing between the ground people and the sky cities.
