Our lovely cafe is open seven days a week, with last orders at 4.15pm on Monday-Saturday, and 3.15pm on Sunday.

Join us for delicious cakes, the best coffee, hot chocolate, and a wide range of teas and soft drinks. The perfect place for everything from settling down quietly with a new book to meeting up with a bookgroup.

Our cakes are all homemade locally, our tea is from Reginald Ames tea blenders in Tonbridge, our milk is from Hinxden Farm Dairy in Benenden, our soft drinks are from Ringden Farm in Hurst Green, and our coffee beans are from Lost Sheep in Whitstable.

For evening events our cafe becomes the Bookshop Bar, with local lager and IPA from Curious Brewery in Ashford, and wine from Heppington Vineyard in Canterbury and Yotes Court vineyard in Maidstone.

We try to use as many Kentish suppliers as possible, to support local businesses and keep our carbon emissions lower by minimising transport and travel.
